The coffee we export,
now at your door

We grow it, ferment it and roast it ourselves on our own three farms. No middlemen.

Roasted to order · We ship worldwide

From our trees to your cup, with no one in between

Four generations of our family have grown coffee on these farms. We don't buy coffee to resell it: we grow it, ferment it, roast it and export it ourselves. When you open a bag of Flor a Fruto you know which farm it came from, which process it went through and which batch it was roasted in.

Grown by us

Three farms in Chinchiná, each with its own speciality. Castillo, Colombia and Cenicafé 1 varieties.

Fermented by design

Controlled fermentation protocols, designed and measured in our own biotechnology lab.

Roasted in small batches

Small lots, bagged the same day. We never roast coffee to sit in a warehouse.

Three farms, three crafts

We don't do everything everywhere. Each farm specialises in what it does best, and you can taste the difference.

La Esperanza

Washed and decaffeinated. The everyday coffee: clean, sweet and consistent batch after batch.

El Písamo

Microbiology and fermentation. Home to the laboratory where our IFP fermentations are designed and measured.

La Guamera

Co-fermentations. The lots that pair fruit with selected microorganisms to build profiles you won't find anywhere else.

Fermentation as a decision, not an accident

In most coffee, fermentation is whatever happens while nobody is watching. At Flor a Fruto it's a protocol: selected or native microorganisms, measured times and controlled conditions, designed lot by lot in our laboratory. That's IFP, and it's why our coffees moved from a standard profile to scores between 85 and 88 on the SCA scale.

We roast when you order, not before

Every batch is roasted to order and bagged the same day. That is why the coffee reaches you at its peak, not months after roasting.

We roast to a medium profile: enough to develop sweetness and body, never so much that it masks what the origin and the fermentation built.

The only choice you really have to make

If you have a grinder at home, order whole bean. Grinding right before you brew changes the aroma and flavour more than most people expect.

If you don't have a grinder, order ground and tell us your method: we adjust the grind for filter, French press, moka pot or AeroPress.
